Simon Shapiro is an award-winning singer-songwriter, renowned for his powerhouse vocals, masterful musicianship, and captivating stage presence.

With a career spanning decades, he has toured with John Farnham himself and shared the stage with international icons including Belinda Carlisle, Boz Scaggs & Michael McDonald.

The former bass player & songwriter of the legendary Aussie band 1927, Simon has carved out a respected place in the music industry, both as a frontman and a gifted

multi-instrumentalist.

Now, he brings his extraordinary talent to the spotlight in a world-class dedication to the music of John Farnham. His uncanny vocal likeness, emotional depth, and electrifying energy breathe new life into these iconic songs.

🥨 German Breakfasts at the Harmonie German Club! 🥨

We’re excited to launch a brand-new way to experience German culture at the Harmonie German Club. Starting with our German Markets on Saturday 21 June, we’ll be hosting German Breakfasts every quarter, giving our community the chance to enjoy an authentic taste of Germany before exploring the markets.

One of the traditional dishes on offer is the Bavarian favourite, Weisswurst, served with sweet mustard and freshly baked pretzels. For the full Bavarian experience, you can even add a refreshing Weissbier (Hefeweizen) and enjoy breakfast the way it’s done in southern Germany.

Looking for something a little different? Our Bavarian Black Forest Breakfast Platter is packed with traditional flavours, including cold cuts, cheese, egg, mustard, fresh bread and black coffee. It’s a simple, hearty breakfast that’s been enjoyed across Germany for generations.

Of course, we know not everyone is after a traditional German breakfast, so we’ll also be serving all the usual favourites. Choose from smashed avocado, eggs on toast, a big breakfast and more. Whatever your breakfast style, there’s something delicious waiting for you.

The Harmonie German Club’s Spring German Markets bloom into life on Sunday 13 September 2026 — and you’re invited!

Celebrate the change of season with a vibrant European market atmosphere right here in Canberra. Stroll through the sights, sounds and flavours of Germany, from authentic German groceries and deli favourites in our Keller, to delicious German street food from the IMBISS Food Van. Enjoy imported German bier and schnapps behind the bar as you soak up the springtime buzz.

Discover a huge variety of market stalls featuring records, clothing, handmade treasures, jams, plants and unique finds you won’t see anywhere else. Whether you’re browsing, gifting or treating yourself, there’s something special for everyone.

Enjoy live entertainment in the Zeppelin Room, catch up with friends and family, and let the kids burn off energy on the FREE jumping castle while you explore the markets at your leisure.

Best of all, this is a FREE community event, with FREE entry and FREE parking, making it the perfect spring day out.

FOR STALL HOLDERS
Please read before booking your stall/s with us!

We sell 3x3m outdoor stall spaces. FRONT stalls are $30 plus booking fee, SIDE stalls are $25 plus booking fee. Note that slots are limited.

If you require more space, purchase more than one slot side by side

We do not accept stalls that sell food unless it is pre-packaged for take-away.

Please bring your own tent/gazebo. (PLEASE NOTE: Pegs cannot be installed.)

Please bring your own table/s and chair/s.

Power outlets will not be accessible. Please bring your own power source.

Our gates will open at 7am. Markets start at 9am. Even-numbered stallholders load in 7am-7.45am and odd-numbered stallholders load in 745am-8.30am.

We will require you to remove your vehicle from the grounds after loading in. Ample parking is available outside the club grounds.

If you wish to leave early (i.e. you’ve sold out), you will need to hand-carry your equipment to your parking area. This is for the safety of our marketgoers.

The Harmonie German Club is not liable for any loss, damage or injury to stallholders and their market wares incurred during participation in these markets.

The markets will proceed even in the event of inclement weather.

Refunds and deferment of bookings to stallholders can be given up to two (2) weeks before the market. No refunds or deferrment can be applied within two (2) weeks of the market date.

Upon successful purchase of a stall, we will email you closer to market date with ingress/egress instructions and other important information.

Peter “Wally” Bamford Memorial Concert – 2026

We’re proud to announce the return of the Peter “Wally” Bamford Memorial Concert for its 21st consecutive year — a night of live music, community, and remembering a great mate.

Join us on Saturday 26th September 2026 at the Harmonie German Club, with doors open from 4pm, as we bring together an incredible lineup of local legends and crowd favourites, all coming together for a cause that continues to mean so much to so many.

All proceeds from the event go directly to the Centenary Institute, a world-leading Australian medical research organisation dedicated to improving human health. Their work focuses on tackling some of the biggest health challenges we face — including cancer, cardiovascular disease, and infectious diseases — through groundbreaking research, prevention, and better treatments.
