Blamey Street Does Bond

Event Details

Prepare to be shaken, not stirred, with the Blamey Street Big Band concert exclusively featuring James Bond big band arrangements.

Conducted by Ian McLean the band will swing 007 songs with everything from the Count Basie version of ‘From Russia with Love’ to ‘Goldfinger’ and ‘Diamonds Are Forever’ right through to ‘A View to a Kill’ and ‘Skyfall’. The sophisticated and classy voice of Rachel McNally (nee Thorne) will recreate classics sung by Shirley Bassey, Nancy Sinatra and Adele while the suave and debonair Andrew Hackwill will don the dinner suit to steam up the room with the themes from ‘Thunderball’, ‘You Know My Name’ and ‘The Living Daylights’.

After their sold out and critically-acclaimed 20th Anniversary Concert earlier this year the 24-piece Blamey Street is delighted to return to the Bond movie set-like hall of the Harmonie German Club for this special and specialized concert.
