A fun afternoon of music and song.
The Canberra Men’s Choir invites you to an afternoon of music and song.
The Choir has been entertaining Canberra audiences since 1986. We are a group of 20 men who enjoy getting together to sing and entertain. The Choir seeks to harness the quality of the male singing voice. Our repertoire showcases this unique sound to the Canberra community. We sing in a variety of styles, including opera, jazz and popular music, most often in four-part harmony.
Outreach to the Canberra community is important for the Choir. We contribute to the cultural environment of Canberra by performing in concerts and at community events, often in collaboration with other Canberra choirs.
Leanne McKean, the Choir’s musical director and conductor, will guide us through the afternoon.
So come along and join us, and get those feet tapping.
The Choir always welcomes new members, regardless of their singing experience. Our next Open Night is on Monday, 11 July 2022 in the Harmonie German Club, the Choir’s home. This is an opportunity for all interested men to get a taste of our Choir.
