There is a STRICT NO TOLERANCE policy for any indications of racist, sexist, homophobic or other discriminatory mannerisms, behaviours or comments – overt or covert. Any indications should be reported immediately.
The Judges Panel consists of a high caliber of industry professionals and intentionally represents the spectrum of gender, sexual and racial identities.
The Judges are volunteers, please respect their time is limited, and do not approach the Judges prior to your event (or at your event) without prior consent.
The Judges have been instructed to provide frank, constructive and fearless feedback (without malice or bias).
Any applicants with existing close/personal relationships with the judging panel will be screened during the application process and deemed ineligible.
Any conflicts of interest (as identified above) MUST be identified during the application process – failure to do so may lead to immediate disqualification.
If you (or members of your band) identify as people of colour, first nation, neurodivergent, LGBTIAQ+, disabled, or part of any other minority group, please identify yourself during the application process.
The Judges panel have been instructed to provide frank & fearless feedback.
If you have any band member/s unable to participate fully due to sensory challenges, anxiety, neurodivergence, ASD, mental health, or other sensitivities, please advise the organisers ahead of time.
This will in no way preclude involvement in the competition. The identification ensures that the needs of every soul involved is taken into account.
While all care will be taken and we will do everything in our ability to make this an accessible event, the band ultimately takes responsibility for the care, nurture and protection of their members.
