Mr. James Band at The Zeppelin Room

Before getting together as the Mr James Band, they all, have already played in awesome rock ‘n’ roll bands with a history of being the best of the best. And because the band members have also been together in the band for so long, they have created a musical and personal chemistry that comes through in their excellent stage presence and song delivery. To show Mr James Band’s popularity as Australia’s Best Dance Band Of The Year, it has won the Australian Entertainment Annual ‘Mo’ Award for that category for 2 years running, 2016 and 2017.

Mr James Band was formed 39 years ago in 1983 by Bob Richardson, the lead guitarist with well-known Australian 60’s sensation Ray Brown & The Whispers. Bob continued to enjoy success with Mr James Band until his death in 2001 and is sadly missed. However, since then Mr James Band has gone from strength to strength to become one of Sydney’s and The Central Coast’s most popular dance bands. Not just playing rock ‘n’ roll, but all the best dance songs from the 50’s and 60’s through to the 90’s.
