The Bad Habits is a sophisticated Canberra Region funk, blues, groove and NOLA band – playing Steely Dan, Renee Geyer, Tower of Power, The Meters, Jon Cleary, Neville Brothers & more.
There may be Seven Deadly Sins, but for a good time you only need four Bad Habits:
- Geoff Bell – Drums. His groove is so deep it should come with a warning sign! His stage credits include James Blundell, The Sunny Cowgirls, Kate Meehan, PJ O’Brien, Paul Greene and Phil Manning.
- Markus “The Dane with the Gain” Bruun – Guitar. From Denmark via Switzerland, playing guitar since age 6, he has always existed somewhere in the funk/blues/pop/rock zone, and has torn it up with leading edge bands in Europe (Brandstifter, Mash).
- David “Chill” Frost – Keyboards/Vocals. A connoisseur of classic keys sounds, you’re going to hear plenty of B3 and Wurlitzer coming from his part of the stage. The Chill has lived the blues with the Blind Freddy band, got shook with the Jealous Hand 70’s disco band, smoked with horn-funk-soul outfits Midnight Express and Zoopagoo. He’s also rolled fat reggae and funk with legendary Canberra outfit, Ragga Jump.
- Paul Kindermann. Bassist and “shoehorn singer”. Stage credits include sideman for Golden Guitar-nominated Dani Young, and Multi-Award winning Singer/Songwriter Paul Costa. Other credits include Uneasy Riders, Blind Freddy, Jealous Hand disco band, Odd Couple Jazz Duo, OFC Surf Band, and Country band, Blazing Boots.
The host band will be followed by some of the finest musicians in the Canberra region, jamming together for a fabulous afternoon of live Blues music.
