The Blues Accelerators was conceived by long-time bluesmen, David Grey and Joe Kurtz, who wanted extra excitement and colour pumped into their music. The band plays up-tempo, horn-friendly music from a mixture genres including blues, swing, rock’n’roll, soul, pop, and a bit of reggae. The band focus on high-energy songs, peppered with rhythms and melodies from an integral horn section. Tired of the same old blues? Then put the pedal to the floor!

The Blues Accelerators are:

• David Grey – guitar and vocals
• Joe Kurtz – tenor sax
• Shannon Hewitt – baritone sax
• Patrick Keogh – bass
• Jon Jones – percussion

Featuring the wonderful Mickey Sheridan on vocals.

The host band will be followed by some of the finest musicians in the region jamming together for a great afternoon of live blues music. So bring your family, bring your friends and don’t forget your dancing shoes.
